By the royal mail steamship China we received1advices and papers from New York to the 15th of .Inly.We learn that General Lee’s whole army had repassed thePotomac into Virginia at Williamsport and Falling Waters;and the movement, which appears to have been completedon the 15th or 14tl\, was said to have been effected ingood order, though the Federal forces captured two gunsmd 2001) prisoners, including an entire brigade of infantry,which may be presumed to have composed the Confederaterearguard. The Southern journals admitted that Vicksburg surrendered on the 4th inst. and were said to estimateat more than 30.000 men the loss in prisoners, e., whichGeneral Grant’s success inflicted on the Confederacy.
