Those nominated include Roland St. Michel for commander: Joseph Nolettc and jAdricn L’Heureux, for second vice commander; Joseph Bas-tarache, adjutant: Joseph Zait-lin. finance officer; R. Joseph Nolelte, chaplain; Royal Shel-tra. service officer; Horace Beaulieu, sergeant-at-arms; and Atty. Gerald Nason, judge advocate.Membership chairman Theodore Goulet, first vice comman- j der, announced that the 1967 j membership to date stands at307.A recognition plaque for the! year 1966-67 designating “a job well clone*’ was presented to I! Commander Robert Poire, with] Joseph Zaitlin making the pre-: sentation. Poire reminded the), members of the department convention dates, June 22-25 at Calais, and suggested that members planning to attend may contact him.Named to attend a meeting next week of the Twin City Veterans Council were Commander Poire, Roland St. Michel and Alfred Prejean. St. .Michel, Color Squad commander, reported that a color squad will be ready for the Memorial Day parade. He also expressed appreciation to all members who assisted with the department commander’s testimonial dinner.Announcement was made that the annual school awards of Legion medals and certiifcates will be given students of the four area high schools.Pre jean reported that flags have been purchased for the Memorial Day exercises.Members reported ill include Joseph1 Hanusek and Polycarpe Richard at the Togus Veterans Hospital, and Edward Giroux at home.
