Noonan. War II DeadThe body of Pfc. Francis E.Noonan, who was killed in actionon Okinawa. April 27, 1945, will arrive in Harrisburg Friday morning, at 9:15, on the Ne.w York Central. The Miller funeral home will receive the body, which will be taken to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Noonan, Carrier Mills, where it will lie in state until the hour of the funeral.Services will be conducted Saturday at 10 a. m., at St. Mary’s church in this city, the Rev. George P. Lally officiating. Burial will be in Salem cemetery near Carrier Mills. The Rosary will be said Friday at 8 p. m., at the home of his parents, by the Holy Name, Altar Society and Youth Council of St. Mary’s church.Pfc. Noonan w-as born in Carrier Mills, August 7, 1923, and was 21 years of age at the time of his death. He attended the Carrier Mills high school, graduating in 1941, and was an outstanding ath lete. He entered service Feb. 12, 1943, and was sent overseas in May 1943. His basic training wasreceived at Camp Wolters, Texas,and completed in Hawaii.Surviving relatives besides parents are a brother, John V.Pfc. Francis E. NoonanNoonan, and a sister, Sue Noonan. Pallbearers are William Brown.Charles Wayne Tarrant, Mondell Rann, Norman Buckner, RobertMcNew. and Carl Martin.
