Martin II, 1228 Thirty-third street SE, has assumed command of company A, 1st battalion, 410th infantry, U.S. army reserves, Cedar Rapids.A life-long resident of Cedar Rapids, Martin, 33, was commissioned a second lieutenant through ROTC at Marquette university, Milwaukee, in 1963 and served on active duty at Fort Lewis, Wash., until 1965. Since that, time he has has various jobs at battalion headquarters in Iowa City.Vice-president of Martin Brothers Equipment and Supply Co., he is a member of the National Eagle Scout Assn., the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers, and the Elks. He is a Scoutmaster and active in All Saints Catholic church.
