In this position,' Col,♦Shreeve was responsible-for the* preparation, of the $90 million, budget necessary for the'completion of the program - for the return of World War II dead.Recalled to active duty in November 1946, he was assigned as assistant chief, -management and in-spection branch, memorial, division-In this position he traveled extensively by air to many parts of the world, coordinating graves registration activities preparatory to the ‘ commencement of the returning' of World War II heroes to the United States.Since September^ 1940 when he was called into active service.
