Rine, reported to have died of j wounds November 10. 1943, was announced today by the army.Rine, who was the son of Roy Rine, Nash, Grant county, Okla., was honored for ‘‘exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service during the Sicilian campaign and the Italian campaign from July 10 to November 9, 1943.As sergeant in charge of a regimental wire detachment, his citation said, he maintained continuous communications between division headquarters and h i s unit. “Through all kinds of weather, working many times at night, he laid wire invariably over unfamiliar terrain,” it stated.
