WHITING POSTTO HAVE PARTIN BIG PARADEiWHITING, Ai• )• iI 25.—Members of the Whiting: American Legion Post No. SO and the auxiliary will travel to Morocco, Ind., Sunday to attend the second Tenth district conference to be held in that city. Whiting’s entire drum and bugle corps will participate in the pared. ] fMorocco post has made, elaborate preparations to entertain the 'Legionnaires. Besides tho business 1 session in the morning, the posts will have a. parade at 1:30 o'clock, headed by the various drum and bugle corps of the district. Since many posts have entirely new corps, much interest is anticipated in the parade.*Tho American Legion has been extraordinary active in the Tenth district, according to District Commander Donald P. Spurrier, of Whiting. He pointed out the steady increase in membership in the district’s 32 posts.According to a program mapped out:, the business session at. Morocco will be concentrated on the spring and summer program of the Legion, including service work, junior baseball, preparation for national poppy day, post problems, advance information on the state and national conventions and committee reports.Frank McHale, of Logausport, past department commander and successful attorney, is scheduled to deliver the principal address in the afternoon at a meeting open to the general public.Prospective candidates for commander of Indiana department for11931 will attend the meeting and gf acquainted with various members ofthe Tenth district.
