Veterans7 ClubsThe Tuesday evening meeting of the Auxiliary to Lowry-Funston Post 1980, Veterans of Foreign Wars, was conducted by Mrs. Wayne Andrews- She welcomed three new members, Mrs. James Elmore, Mrs. Evert Heines, and Mrs. Fred Strauder,A donation was made to Winter General Hospital in Topeka. Mrs. Elmer Humphreys announced the donation of seven books to the Emporia Public Library', in observance' of Jlie Bicentennial-year.Delegates elected to attend the V.F.W. Auxiliary Department Convention in Overland Park on June 4th to 6th were Mesdames Ted Fowler, George Wyatt, Audrie Bertie, George Meehtley, William Johnson, Robert Phillips, John DeMotte, Robert Hedges, John Sutton, Robert Swigert, and Joyce Story. Named as alternates were Mesdames Charles Bolz, Gilbert Fehr, George Free, Jerome Theisen, William Meehtley, Gary Eichorn, Donald Haustoc, Elmer Humphreys, William Spillman, Henry Winker, and Eugene Ray.Newly elected officers will be installed at the next meeting on May 4th, at 8 p.m. at the Post Hohie.s
