Niemeyer, whose wife, Heraldine, lives in Tripoli, is on security dutv with the 1st Caval-I ry Division on Hokkaido, north-| ernmost island of Japan.• The division, rotated to Japan | in December after 17 months in I Korea, is also undergoing a large-1 scale tactical training program.! Niemeyer, an assistant gunner 1 in a 57-mm. rifle section, arrived I in Korea in August, 1951, and 1 has won the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Korean Service Ribbon with one campaign star.He was graduated from Tripoli high school in 1947. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Niemeyer, also live in Tripoli.He is a member of Company F of the 8th Cavalry Regiment.
