Osta Thompson Dies At 91, Funeral FridayOsta L. Thompson, 91. died Tuesday morning at the Good Samaritan Center where she had been a resident for the past three years.Funeral service for Mrs. Thompson will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the First Lutheran Church with Rev. John N. Carlson officiating. Burial is at 1:30 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove. Wilson’s of Algonu is in charge of the arrangements.Pallbearers are John and James Thompson, Don Haase, David Skogslrom, Ronald Larson and Robert Thompson.Osta, daughter of Tom and Margaret Sheldahl Larson, Was born Aug. 7. 1885 in Story County, lu., near the community of Sheldahl. She attended country schools in Story and Wright counties and married Theo “Ted” Thompson Jan. 28, 1914 at Eagle Grove. They moved to a farm in Kossuth county in 1927 and in 1932 moved into Algona. Mr. Thompson died in July of 2950.Mr6. Thompson is survived by a son, Maurice of Ankeny, and daughter, Anita, Mrs. Gail Huase, Greeley, Colo. There are five grandchildrenAn#1) ivvooi . frvon/lnliil^rrmihers also survive: Mrs. Louise Thompson, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Hilda Oldson, Richland, Wash.; Oscar Larson, Eagle Grove; and Raymond of Ren wick.She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, u son, Donald, who was killed in the Philippines during World War II, one greatgrandchild, four sisters and three brothers.Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until lime of service.Irvin Brandt Rites Held At TitonkaTitonka—Irvin Brgndt, 60, Woden-Titonka area farmer died Sunduy at his home.Funeral service for Mr. Brandt was held at 10-30 a.m. Wednesday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Titonka with Rev. Herbert Hanson, pastor of the Good Hope Lutheran Church at Titonka officiating.
