A few lines to let you know that .1 have arrived in North Africa can't say definitely. To my surprise I -didn’t get seasick the (censored) crossing the ocean, I missed only-the first meal. 1 was then more interested in getting on deck than standing in line and watching the other fellow's’ stomachs turn over. We could go out on deck when we wished. Two months later to the day, my furlough started, I woke up on fol'etgn soil, so I begin my seventh month in service overseas.^ The people here speak mainly French, but are not ignorant of our; English, r haven’t had any troubl speaking with them the two times have been up town. The weather here is very simil ar to Southern California, warn during the day and cold at night It has rained everyday except thlt; first day, The wind from the ocear and the sun dries things off almosl at once.Well, this is about all I have time for, it is about chow time. ]’i] write more when the time permits, so George, you can change my address and send me the local paper directly. Thanks a lot.Sincerely yours, Robert Edwards Cpl. Robert R. Edwards 207th Signal Depot Co„ APO 3601 care Postmaster, New York, N. Y,
