I chain suitable for wearing around the neck.ovbtiMr. Cretors points out that “when you can put an ID tag around your [ neck, civil defense begins to come home to you. You begin to understand that you are worth identify-’ | ing as the particular .person you are, regardless of what happens to you. Without an almost indestructible tag around your neck you may be hard to name/*Mr. Cretors also indicated the value of the ID tag by pointing out further reasons for its use.Lost children need to be united with their parents . and separated families brought together after anemergency.Wounded persons who cannot talk or remember, need to be identified.The dead need identification for insurance, burial, notification of relatives and similar reasons.And thousands of refugees passing through an evacuation area or an emergency care center need to be rapidly entered on the records for “located” purposes later.In inaugurating the issuance of ID tags for all Indiana citizens, Mr. Cretors pointed out “that at the rock bottom cost of 25 cents per person, the Indiana Department of Civil Defense is prepared to provide every hoosier citizen the finest quality stainless steel tag on an almost unbreakable stainless steel beaded chain. The tag will carry the individuals name, address, city and state, his birth date and his religion. It will not melt under 2500 degrees Fahrenheit, will not tarnish, dis-color the skin, get out of shape or wear out. It is the same tag now being used by all men in the armed forces and is the result of years of experimentation. Mr. Cretors said that “the ultimate objective of the Indiana Department of Civil Defense is an ID tag for every Hoosier citizen.”11t:lt;
