Legion Employs Thomas Architect For RemodelingWork will soon «**» under way ontcmodellng of th« building recently purchased by Newton Poet of the American legion.At h meeting of »he trusteesThursday night it was decided to employ the services of Oren Thomas, I»*s Moines architect, to checkthe building- from the engineer■laudpoUM and draw plana forcontemplated improvements, Mr. Thomas i*» also directing the archi-tort work on the now football stadium for th* school board.Til* committee appointed to wor* with Mr. Thomas to get a suitable set of plans to present to the Le giuti membership are F. A. Dunn, H C H**rg. John Warhurton, Clarence Grleheling and J. W. Halden.Work will start tonight at 7:3'* on taking out partitions of the old parts room and the remodeling of that room to meet the requirement* of the new downstairs tenant. Dal* Schlotfeldt. Will Long, carpenter and Legionnaire, will tllrect th* work of other legionnaires who are donating work hours.Several hundred work hours have already been volunteered by the members of the local post.
