He wears three gold chevrons on his left sleeve indicat ing 18 monthe overseas service an t i has to carry his discharge papers I with hiin all the time, as he is repeatedly stopped by officers in even-city demanding to know where he got the the three chevrons, it being a very rare thing for a man to have-seen such long service abroad. Mr I-Iouchin is now with his wife at Linton, where he has accepted employment. He is well known in Petersburg, being a son of the late Commodore Houchin.
