Tom Hollowell, of Camp Lewis Washington (state) was the j guest of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lingle Saturday night and Sunday. Capt. Hollowell had been to New York in charge of a body of soldiers sent from his camp to the Eastern coast. Enron te back to Washington he came by the way of Louisville to see his mother and then out to Salem for a visit with his half sister, Mrs. Lingle. Capt. Hollowell is a Salem boy, born and reared here and.has many friends who are pleased with his successful career in the army. He was in the Spanish American Avar.
