Daughter of Revolutionary Soldier Marker Dedicated For Mrs. BaldwiniA very beautiful and most impressive ceremony was held by James Harlan chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, April 13, at the Bra/e!-ton hotel, with Miss Blanche Th:rson. regent, presiding. The program arranged by Mrs. M I Clod bey. was as follows: Presentation of colors and“the Flag Speaks by a campfire gin. Betty Yocum; Mrs. J. L. Ward, flag chairman led in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the Star Spangled Banner with Mrs. Will McClaran atthe piano,Mrs. M I. God bey, who has broughthonor to James Harlan chapter throughher accomplishments in h r genealogical work as southeast distr.ct chairman the past two years, spoke briefly of her work and wished, to .^hare all honor with her co-w: rkers in the twen-ity-two counties in her district, representatives cf which were present from Iowa City, Davenport. Ottumwa. Burlington. Grinnell. and Winfield D A R.chapters.Special tribute was paid Mrs. Griffith h r her pan in the records of He nry county. Seven graves cf daughters cf Revolutionary s:ldiers have been located, all of which were previou.ly published except that of Mrs. Ann Taylorr Sample, daughter of Henry Taylor, in the cemetery known as the Sample or Davis.
