?f-The Charleston Gazette Saturday, April 11,1953416th Research Team Gets McGovran TrophyMORGANTOWN, April 10—(Special)—Award of the McGovran Trophy has been made to the 416th Strategic Intelligence Research and Analysis Team here for being the outstanding Army Reserve unit in the Wert Virginia Military District.Mai. Ebert I, Bias, acting Sen-lor Army Instructor for the state military district, made the presentation to Lt Col* John R. Cress-well, commander of the 416th. Approximately 40 Reserve unitscompeted for the honor, which wasestablished In 1949 by T. H, McGovran. head of the Wert Virginia Department of Veteran* Affairs, for whom the trophy was named. It was awarded on the basis of unit proficiency, Maj, Bias said.
