*o such a stepGreenfield Soldier Missing In ActionGREENFIELD—Pfc. Daniel A. Stedman, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Stedman of Greenfield, has been missing in action in Korea since February 18, according to information sent to his parents«by the army.The telegram from the army to Mr. and Mrs. Stedman gave no details but said more information will be sent later.Pfc Stedman was called to active duty last September 27 as a member of the inactive army reserve. He had previously served four years in the armed forces and was employed on an engineering survey crew for REA substations in northern. Iowa when he was recalled.After training at Camp Hood, Tex., he was sent to Korea on November 20, and was serving as a bazookaman with company D of the 30th Infantry when his parents heard from him last. He graduated from Greenfield hieh school in 1943 and entered military service in September of that year. During World war II he served as a rifleman in the Pacific and was in the New Guinea and later campaigns.
