Hudsonville4]The Hudsonville Guild of the Zeeland Hospital met on Monday evening at the home of Mrs, Henry Van Noord and elected officers for the coming year as follows: President, Mrs. John Dyk; vice president, Mrs. Peter Ver Kaik; recording secretary, Mrs. Neil Visscher; Secretary. Mrs. Gerald De Weerd and treasurer, Mrs. Esther Maring.The annual spring concert of the Hudsonville High School bands will be presented on Thursday evening. April 16, in the high school auditorium. Both the Junior and Senior bands will present selections with the Senior Band playing numbers used in the festival held in Grand Rapids this spring at which they received an A rating. Cornet solos by Phil Nyhuis will be featured. Harvey Van Dyke is mu-I sic director at Hudsonville.Mrs. Cornelia Vander Laan is at Holland Hospital for observation.The Robert Curtis, Jr. family has moved in to the Dale Curtis farm on 32nd St, which was vacated by the John Bolhuis family who nave moved to a farm west of Hudsonville.Mrs. Leon Koons will submit to surgery this week.Mr. and Mrs. George Emclander and family of Barnaby Road have moved temporarily to a trailer atthe Leon Koons home and plan tobegin building a new home this spring.Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Feenstra announce the birth of a boy; Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Myers announce the birth of a girl.The friendship Circle of the Hud-! sonville Congregational Church met Monday evening with the Missionary Education Committee. Mrs. Gerry Hessel, chairman, in charge. Hostesses were Corrine Zeeff and Millie Tucker.Mrs. Thomas Warke was called to Chicago due to the sudden acute illness of her mother who will be hospitalized for the next two or three weeks.Today at 12:30 p.m. the Ladies Union of the Congregational Church held a potluck dinner with Mrs.Bernice Hall in charge of devotions.Rev. Henry Van Til, Professor of Bible at Calvin conducted the morning service at the First Christian Reformed Church. Rev.Marinus Arnoys conducted the afternoon worship. Rev. Visser assisted in the installation service of Rev. Floyd De Boer at the Rogers Heights Christian Reformed Church.Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roelofs are celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary today at the home of their son Steven.Pvt. Thomas Maring, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Maring who left recently for military service is now with the First Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.Mr. and Mrs. Albert Veltema celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on April 3.Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edson are enjoying a trip to Texas.
