Sidney Collins, whose home is in Mississippi, I learned later has been killed in action. Ironically, all three of us who were wounded are alive today.This man Collins and I each got a Jap during the night. Although I had put a tourniquet on my legs shortly after 1 was wounded and hadn’t lost much blood, I was too; weak to lift a rifle, so we were both firing when We could with pistols.The Japs had come out on the wall and were throwing some explosives at us — I think it was TNT.prccolDr,prcis ** iWe stopped a couple of them sneaking along the top of the wall and got them both for sure.
