Stephen Fekety, of 70 Velvet street, who wag wounded three time3 in World War II and was awarded v the Silver Star Medal for bravery, has returned to the armored division unit af Fort Knox, Ky., after three years of foreign duty, ~His npw assignment is director of the driving and maintenance committee, Third Armored Division. In this post he teaches members of the division to driv.e tanks weighing in the neighborhood of 40 tons Capt. Fekety says that these boys “have an ear for the ‘ combustion engine” and ■'seem to pick up the knack of driving without too much trouble. Members also must learn gunnery /nd tactics as part of their tiaimng, the captain said Capt. Fekety was commissioned a second lieutenant on the battlefieldin March, 1943, by Lieut. Gen. Patton.
