OFFER FOR THE HOME GUARD 13 TO 150 MEN WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE USE OF THE STANDARD ARMY RIFLE*The Helena Rifle club last night passed a resolution offering their services as a separate unit to the home guard and offering to get up acompany of 100 to 150 men who areexpert in the use of the rifle.This resolution will be drawn up and submitted to Governor Stewart the first of the week.The rifle club during the past two yeats has qualified about 40 members as sharpshooters, marksmen and expert riflemen on the course of the National Rifle association, as approved by the war department.The club lias in its possession at the present time about 30 Krag rifles and about 25 Springfield rifles of the present type as used by the army, and a large quantity of ammunition. Being affiliated with the National Rifle association, it is permitted to purchase both arms and ammunition from the government at cost.The Officer*.The officers of the Helena Rifleclub are as follows: C.
