Presque Isle Gets New Jet SquadronPresque Isle, April 7—(/P)—An all-weather jet fighter-intercep-tor squadron has been assigned to the Presque Isle Air Force base.Lt. Col. Robert L. Harringer, base commander, said the unit is the 57th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, which was active in Alaska in World War II but which was disbanded after the war. It will supplement the 74th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron at the base.
