Mrs. Jones, who is now employed here, and Mrs. Jarvis, are sisters. They will live in the home previously occupied by A. L. Wood. jMiss Mildred King,, teacher at the Prescott High School, V is spending a few days In Sacatdh with j her brother, C. J. King. They received word last week of _ the death of their mother, who resided in South Carolina. ;• Pvt. Leon B. Manuel left Wednesday I to return to his camp at Ontario* Calif., after spending several days here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren B. Manuel.the i Arizona State Teachers College of Tempe, Rev: Esau Joseph, of the First Presbyterian Church of Sacaton. A. E. Robinson, Superintendent . of the Pima Agency, President Lorenxo Wright of the Maricopa Stake, -and Bishop Hicks, Statistics of the life of Harlyn yidovich were presented by Mrs. H. C- Hicks. ■.| The music was furnished by the Papago Ward choir, who sang (Take Courage, Saints” and ‘’God of Our Fathers.” A mixed quartet from] Mesa. including Harold Gunnell, jLeta ‘Anderson, Nadine *Mag-nussdn and George Standag, of the Mesa First Ward, sang “My Jesus As Thou Wilt,” and O My Father ”'A male quartet from Sacaton w^th Tom and Joe Jackson, Paul Lewis and Herbert Enos, sang jThat Beautiful Land,” and:“Sleep, poldier. Sleep.” Mrs. Katherine McKinley of Santan sang My Father Knows” .and ‘The Old Rugged Cross.” The invocation and (benediction were offered by Blinden Jackson and Ernest Manuel of the-Papago Ward. .| A large group of friends : from Sacaton, Mesa, Chandler, Salt River,- Tempe and Phoenix attended.Memorial Services Memorial Services' were held at the L.D.S Papogo Chapel on Sun* day for CapL Harlyn Vidovich, who was reported killed in a plane crash in Eastern China. The services were conducted by;Bishop-He-ber C. Hicks of the Papago Ward, of Salt (River. • • ;Speakers at the services were A K. Warren, friend and teacher of Harlyn- at the Phoenix Indian School,.
