On Pacific Isle ^CCT. SGT. MELVIN E. COOKIs the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cook. He has spent two years in the Marines. Last May, he spent a fifteen-day leave in Nocona. In his last letter to his parents, he wrote that he was on an island in the South Pacific and that the climate was very warm.
