John P. Petrick Receives Commendation Letteri(D0801) KINGSVILLE, TEX. , (FHTNC) March 17 — Aviation Electronics Technician Second Class John P. Petrick Jr., USN, son of Mr. John P. Petrick., of Route One, Burnet Texas, received a letter of commendation, for his part in establishing a new flying record for the Naval Air Advanced Training Command, Kingsville, Texas.As a member of Training Squadron (VT) 21, he was commended for his outstanding performance in supporting the squadron in its mission of conducting advanced pilot training for future carrier jet avaitors.During the week of February 7th through the 13th, VT-21, flying the Grumman F-9 “Cougar” jet, was in the air a total of 805lb hours, as compared to a 1966 s weekly average of 508 hours.
