COMMENDATION MEDAl-Sgt. Fkst Clow William D. Day-ton of Anderson, left, is presented the Army Commendation Medal by Col. William D. Taylor, Commander of the U.S. Army First Recruiting District, at Fort Meade, Md., before leaivng Morch 27 for assignment in Vietnam. Sgt. Dayton was cited for exceptional initiative resourcefulness and professional competence in the performance of his duties while serving as a Personnel Management Specialist at U.S. Army First Recruiting District Heodquorters, Fort Meade, from August 1965 through March 1967. Sgt. Dayton formerly was employed by the Interstate Finance Company here. He served eight years with the U.S. Air Force before enlisting in the Army. He is now assigned with the 185th Main Support Battalion in Vietnam. He is the son of Mr. ond Mrs. David H. Dayton, 416 W. Vineyard St. His wife, Clinto, resides in Jessup, Md. (U.S. Army Photo)
