On theHill Country Wall of HonorDerek Stapp is the son of Johnny and Brigette Stapp of Center Point. He is a 2001 graduate of Center Point High School. He joined the Navy March 2001 and left in October for boot camp in Great Lakes, III.Graduating in January 2002, he went to New London, Conn. Hewent to Guam on the USS City of Corpus Christi submarine in October 2002. He left for a 40lt;lay tour to Hawaii arxJ since the war started, he has been on the USS City of Corpus Christi. His dad, mom and sister, Megan, are praying for his safe return to Guam and hope to see him soon.Stapp
