AN EVENING with THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDERS.A uni(|iilt;* and interesting enter tainment will be given in the lecture room of The First Congregational Church Thursday evening April 11th, at 8 o’clock. Dr. David Beaton of Chicago, formerly of Aberdeen, will speak of “Scotland in Hong and Story , ” Miss Mary Brown of Chicago, will appear inScotch dress and sing several favorite Scotch airs including** Within a Mile of Edinboro Town,” “Bonnie Scotland, I Adore Thee,” “The Spinning Wheel,” etc- Dr, Thain, Mr. R. S. Thain and family, Dr. MacKenzie and Mr. Win. Gardner are exacted to take juirt. in the program. Mr. John Rankin will pay a tribute to Robert Burns and in full Highland costume, with the “sporan” Mr. John McBeath will entertain the company on the bag* pipes.
