NEW8 FROM LEXINGTON.ArrlTml of General Burnside—Ilia Reception—A Serenade—Impreotlons of the New Commander*Special Dispatch to the Cincinnati Gazette.Lxxixqto*, April 3.The only Incident worthy of note In thisdepartment since yesterday, was the arrival of General Burnside. He was received with aeolamatiom by the people, at the depot, and followed to the Phoenix Honse, by the citizens, en masse. He made a short, kind speech, in answer to their vociferous calls. In the evening, he received in the parlor, all who ohose to call apon him, and had a pleasant remark for all. The impression left apon Kentucky is that of a kind, firm, earnest man. At night there was a serenade. To-day he has been bosy with General Gilmore on the affairs of the Department, examining ihe situation and looking over the field. At noon ho left for Paris. The prevailing feeling is that business ie intended. Military matters otherwise are all quiet.
