Welcome PlannedFor Greek ShipsThe local Greek community has smarted plans tor entertaining officers and men of two Greek destroyers that will visit Newport for train ingf April 9-30,They are the Niki (victory), formerly the USS Eberle and the Doxa (* glory’J, -rormcrly the USS Ludlow, which were transferred to Greece in 1951. Both are now at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and will report here for three weeks exercises under the Fleet Training Group.Each ship has 150 enlisted men and 15 officers.The officers of St. Spridon Hellenic Orthodox, the Ladies Aid Society, Daughters of Penelope, Maude Howe Elliott chapter of the Order of Ahepa, and the Greek Orthodox Youth group have been meeting informally to plan a program of activities.With the Greek Orthodox Easter, 'ailing on April 25, the visiting de-| stroyer men will be guests in the troditional lamb dinner served during the holiday. The Rev. Constantine Theodore, pastor, has arranged special Lenten services for Greek Navy men wishing to. attend.Theodore Spiiioces of the ^lcetTraining Center, a former inter-preter^for na *al officials in Greece, has been aiding the local commit-t.e.
