MEXICAN VETERANS.A Permanent Organization Going to beEffected.From Friday’s Daily.A meeting of Mexican war veterans was held last night at the city hall building. Dr. Hyde was elected President and J. B. Hughes secretary. Judge Carlton made a short speech. Resolutions were adopted a9 follows:Resolved, That the House of Representatives ot the Congress of the United States is entitled to the thanks and gratitude of the Mexican veterans for the passage through the House of the bill for pensioning the surviving soldiers of the Mexican war.Resolved, That the Senators in Con-giess lrom the State of Indiana are respectfully requested to use their votes and influence in favor of the passage of said bill.Resolved, That the secretary of the meeting transmit a copy ot these resolutions to each of the Senators.and Representatives ic Congress from the State of Lndiana.A committee was appointed to draft constitution and by-laws for a permanent organization, and the meeting adjourned to meet next Thursday evening.The following Mexican veterans were present last night:Charles Haller, Co.
