Meade.At the present time the military population at Fort Meade is 14,620. More than 9,000 of the total consists of the 29th Division, former National Guard. When the selecv tees are inducted in the 29th the division will have a full strength of 20,000 officers and men. These selectees will come from the same areas as the troops already here at Fort Meade.Company L is supposed to get 78 selectees, building the strength of the company to 171 officers and men Arrangements are being made to accomodate the future Company L members, Supply Sgt. Thomas Coulbourne seems to think that anyone attached to the supply room has had his last vacation for some time.Each company has been issued soft balls, baseballs, basketbatls, boxing gloves and other, equipment for sports which may be played within regimental areas. There is also a recreation hall for indoor sports, reading and orchestra practice.Here are a few personal itenu concerning some of the members of Company L.Pvts.
