Reception set for WiesenauerA welcome-home reception for U.S. Army Spec. Rod S. Wiesenauer, 23, is planned 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Best Western Sterling House.Wiesenauer is on a 21-day leave after serving six months in Saudi Arabia. His mother, Marilyn K.Morehead of Anderson, invites family, friends and interested residents to join the festivities.Morehead said her son’s unit guarded a Patriot inissile site 70 miles south of the Iraq border from September through November. He spent the last two days of the ground war in Basra, Iraq.
