Those present were:Mr. and Mrs. Louis V, Schaff-ner, Cheryl, Linda and Jimmy: Mr. and Mrs. Horace Schaffner and Debbie; Don King; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Schaffner of Grinned; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schaffner, Kathy, Becky, and Nathan; Mr. and Mrs. Timmy Schaffner of Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. John Schaffner and David of Silver City; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schaffner, Billy, Beth, Candy, Shelly and Caro! Sue of Gillette, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lawson, Dennis and Glenice of Bloomfield; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wyldes, Donnie, Kenny, Karen, Howie and Valorie of Shellsburg; Mr. and Mrs, Bob Schaffner, Cindy, Robbie, Brad and Dianne of Oskaloosa.Mrs. Letha I^wson baked the cake which was decorated with yellow roses and the numeral 50 on top. There were also two sheet cakes baked by Daisy Schaffner.Mr. and Mrs. Schaffner also celebrated on Sunday, Sept. 19th with an open house held by their children at the civic center. There were 104 friends and relatives in attendance from Albia, Bloomfield, Centerville, Moravia, Ottumwa, Des Moines, Clio, Hamburg and Silver City, Iowa; Gaiax, Virginia, Gillette, Wyoming and Omaha, Nebraska.Mr. and Mrs. Schaffner received 167 cards and many gifts. A special gift of lovely mums was sent by Mr. and Mrs. A1 Wilson of Grinnell.Mrs. Pauline Albertson baked the cake decorated with yellow roses and the numeral 50.Those unable to attend were: Mr. and Mrs. Kenton Kinion and Kenton Jr. of Concord, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. .
