James Murray, Eleanore Anonson Wed In Lutheran Church at JoiceBethany Lutheran church at Joice was the scene of a fall wedding Sunday evening, September 26, when Miss Elcanoro Anonson, daughter of Mrs. Clara Anonson of Joice, became the bride of James Murray, son of Mr.* and Mrs. Earl Murray of Buffalo Center at 7:30 p. m.The Rev. Richard R- Holleque of Buffalo Center rend the double ring candlelight ceremony. Baskets and vases of white Chrysanthemums and pompons and candelabra of white tapers decorated the church.Mrs. Allen Trelstad of Buffalo Center, presided at the church organ. She played a prelude of nuptial music and accompanied the vocal soloists. Mrs. Wesley Greenan of Mason City sang, Oh Perfect Love before the processional, “The Wedding Prayer” preceding the ceremony, and “The Lord’s Prayer as the couple knelt at the Altar. David Luttio, local student pastor, sang Crown With Thy Benediction” following the ceremony.The bride who was given in marriage by her brother, Kermit Anonson, was attired in a floor length wedding dress of white Chantilly lace and tiered nylon tulle over satin. It was fashioned with a fitted bodice and a cowel collar, long sleeves, pointed at the wrists. The full skirt had panels of lace down the front and back and tiers of nylon tulle with lace medallion inserts forming the sides. The yoke and collar were embroidered with rhinestones and seed pearls. Her fingertip blushing veil of illusion fell from a halo of satin. Her single strand of pearls was .a gift from the bridegroom and she carried a crescent shaped cascade bouquet of JoAnna' Hill roses.Marilyn Anonson of Joice, niece of the bride, was maid, of honor and Margaret Murray, sister of the bridegroom was bridesmaid. They both were attired in yellow lace and net over taffeta ballerina formals. They carried cascade bouquets of yellow and bronze pompons -and wore holes of matching flowers in their hair. Their pearl necklaces were giftsfrom the bride.Helen Murray, of Buffalo Center, sister of the bridegroom, was flower girl, gowned in a white floor length formal of taffeta. She wore a halo of flowers in her hair and carried a miniature copy of the bride’s bouquet. Her pearl necklace was a gift from the bride.Charles Murray ofJ Buffalo Center, attended his .brother as bestman, Eldon Sun.de of Buffalo Center was besfcman. Barry Anonson of Joice, nephew of the bride, was ring -bearer, carrying the rings on a satin, heart-shaped pillow edged with nylon lace. John Murray of Buffalo Center, brother of the bridegroom, and Keith Anonson of Joice, nephew of the bride, were candelighters; Spencer Anonson and Burton Anonson of Joice, brothers of the bride, were ushers.The men in the wedding party wore white ‘dinner jackets and dark trousers and carnation boutonnieres.The bride’s mother wore a dusty rose suit and used navy blue accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a sheer brown wool dress and had brown and gold accessories. Both had . corsages of yellow Pernea roses. Immediately following the wedding service, about 300 guests attended the reception held in the church parlors. A five tiered wedding cake, decorated with fresh roses, centered the reception table. Yellow tapers at either side were burning during the serving of refreshments. Mrs. Wadiah Abraham was dining room hostess. Mrs, Don Tiedman of Lake Mills registered the guests. Mrs. Harris Feldick and Mrs. Clyde Steffensen of Buffalo Center were in charge of the gifts. Mrs. Kermit Anonson and Mrs. Spencer Anonson poured, The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Joseph Bakken and Mrs. John Berry. Waitresses were Mrs, Abner Evenson and Mi's. Howard Stensrud of Joice, Mrs. Telmer Huso of Mason City and Mrs. Herald Carlson of Austin, Minnesota.The bride is a graduate of the Joice high school and of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Mason City. She is serving as Superintendent at the Buffalo Center Hospital and Clinic.The bridegroom is a graduate of the Buffalo Center High School, a veteran of service in the U. S. Army and is engaged in farming at Buffalo Center.For going away the bride wore a brown suit with avacado green and beige accessories and a corsage of Jo Anna Hill roses.
