Yuma.—Another chapter in a ro mance which had its inception on an automobile trip across the state of California and into Arizona was writ ten when Lloyd Hickenbottom and El eanor Stoetzner were married by Judge Charles Smith of the justice court. The couple arrived in Yuma a few days ago, panuioned by Wal ter Portios and Julia Hammond. Af ter reaching Yuma some disagreement arose between various members of the party and Miss Stoetzner swore to a criminal complaint against Hiskin bottom charging him with embezzling an automobile in Imperialvalle. Hickenbottom and Portios were plac ed in jail by the authorities upon sus pec of violation of the Mann act iter it was discovered that a felony warrant had been issued in Los Ang geles for Portios, charging him with snapping Miss Hammond, who is said to be but 18 years of age. Por tios is to be taken to Los Angeles ' stand trial upon that charge and Miss Hammond is being held pending the arrival of her mother who is comin to Yuma for her daughter. After the marriage of Hickenbotton and Miss Stoetzner yesterday, Hick enbottom was released from jail.
