At the home of the bride’s moth* er, Mrs. J. O. Norman, south of Ireland, Herbert L. Bass and Alice Norman were married last Sunday, Rev. William Worrell, officiating. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Carrie Treanor of Petersburg sang, “Oh, Promise Me.” After the ceremony all repaired to the dining room where dainty and delightful refreshments were served. The . bride is a winsome and accomplished young woman. She graduated from the Ireland high schools two years ago and has been one of Madison township’s most successful teachers since. The groom is a steady and industrious young man and is a son of G. L. Bass, of Sten-dal, Ind. He is a successful teacher in the Warrick county schools and intends to devote his time to farming. At 8 o’clock p. m. to the strains of Mendelsohn’s wedding march played by Miss Hazel Johnson, the bridal couple attended by Miss Jemima Cooper and S. G, Norman approached to be married, in the presence of immediate relatives and a few intimate friends. Theguests present from a distance were : Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
