Robert Borre, Catholic chaplain, at 3:30 o’clock Saturday after-Noon, Sept. 24, in Oiapel 2 at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss Joyce Christine Boyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Boyd, Route 2, Gulfport, became the bride of Donald Gabriel Jones, Keesler AFB. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Anna Marie Jones of Pittsburgh, Pa.Tall silver urns filled with arrangements of white gladioli adorned the altar. Potted palms were placed at vantage points to complete the setting.Miss Rovenia Kirby, organist, and Mrs. Joyce Gilmore, soloist, presented 0 Promise Me and The Wedding Prayer. The traditional wedding marches were rendered by Miss Kirby.The bride, escorted by her father, wore a peau de soie gown f e a turing detachable chapel train of the same fabric. The fitted bodice, highlighted with lace appliques, was designed with bateau neckline and long pointed sleeves. A crown of pearls held the bride’s fingertip illusion veil, and her bouquet was a cascade of white roses.Mrs. Jeanette Mullinax ofHandsboro attended the bride as matron of honor. The bride’s sister, Miss Marilyn Boyd, of Gulfport, served as junior bridesmaid. Dewey W. Riddle of Biloxi was best man, and ushers were Stanley Bell and Nicholos Monfe, Keesler.The reception honoring fee newlyweds was held in Vanden-berg Hall at Keesler AFB. Assisting the bride and groom in receiving guests were the bride’s parents, the groom’s mother, Mrs. Alpha Turner, Collins, Miss., grandmother of the bride, and the wedding party.Covered with a gold cloth overlaid with ivory lace cloth, the bride’s table held the four-tiered wedding cake topped with miniature bride and groom. Yellow blossoms and greenery encircled the cake. On either side of the cake were crystal candelabra hoi ding lighted white tapers.Miss Marilyn Conner and Mrs. Martha Saucier cut and served the cake. The Misses Carolyn Boyd and Nita Boyd, cousins of fee bride, were tea girls.
