Miss .Colburn Bride of Edward LawsonMiss Claribel Colburn, formerly of Watertown, and Edward S. Lawson of Jamestown, N. Y., were united in the holy bonds of wedlock last Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mr3. L. E. Brickell on south Oak street, Hev. J. N. Greene, pastor of the local M. E. church officiating.The wedding party marched down the stairs to the front parlor to the music of Lohengrin’s Wedding march played by Miss Eva Johnson who also played softly “O Promise Me,” during the ceremony. The bride and groom stood beneath a beautiful arch of palms and asparagus. The house was •decorated thruout with green and ■white, the wedding colors. The ring was used in sealing the marriage vows. The bride looked charming in a dress of light tan messaliae and the groom wore the conventional black.After tlie ceremony, refreshments were served to the guests.M'iss Colburn, who is the daughter of Mrs. Ella E. Colburn, was one of Watertown's most popular young ladies. She was horn here and lived most of her life here. A few years ago she took a course in kindergarten work in the Cincinnati Training school, and for the past two years has been teaching in the Jamestown •schools. The groom is a most worthy and promising young man, employed as railway mail clerk on the Erie, running from Salamanca, N. V., to Cleveland, Ohio. His schooling was received in Allegheny college, Meadeville, Pa.The bride and groom, who left at a late hour the same evening for Minneapolis and Chicago, will reachJamestown., K* Y., some time this week and will go to. housekeeping At once. Mrs. Colburn mother of the j bride, will remain in Watertown for an extended visit, and then return to Jamestown, N. Y., to make her future home.
