The marriage of Miss Kate,the youngest daughter of Mr.and Mrs. J. L. Echols to Mr.Paul Crawford, came as a surprise to the numerous friends ofthe contracting parties. MissEchols, accompanied by Mr.Paul Crawford and Mr. WilliamWatson, left on Sunday for Nashville, as the necessary preparations had been made by herparents for her to continue hercourse of studies at Ward Seminary, but the monotonous routiueof college life no longer heldany charms for Miss Echols, forshe had made her decision, and at the home of the Rev. Mr. McNair, the minister who performed the ceremony, ihe youngpeople, with Mr. Watson as soleattendant, were joined in holymatrimony.The charming bride has livedin New Decatur all her life, andby her sweet disposition and/-beauty has endeared herself tothe hearts of all who knew her.She has a wide tiiele of friendswho rejoice in her happiness.Mr. Crawford is ul»o a nativeof this city.
