Married.On last Thursday Joseph Larimer, of 3eru was united in marriage to Miss Allie Bliler at the residence of her father rohn Bliler, Esq.. in Miami Tp., Cass :o. The ceremony was performed by he Rev. Madison Reed, uncle of the iride. Quite a number of friends and elatives of the parties were present, imong whom were Dr. H. V. Passage, vife and daughter Flo, and I. N. Casper if this city, and County Supt. P. A. Jerry and wife, of Cass Co. Quite a lumber of presents were made the lappy couple. After partaking of a nost excellent and bountiful dinner, vhich was thoroughly enjoyed by all, Jr. Larimer and his his bride drove in o Peru and the next day went to Miami own wherp a reception was given by lis mother.which was largely attended, mmerous parties being present from ?eru. Kokomo and other points. Those ortunate enough to be present, speak n words of loudest praise of the very pleasant time they had. Mr. Larimer s one of our most promising attorneys tnd was for a time editor of the Bunker Hill Press and has secured a very nice mil pretty bride of more than ordinary ntelligence and worth. The Sentinel wishes them long life and prosperity.A Pleasant Affair.The reception took place at the home jf Mrs. Mary Larimer, south of Bunker Hill two miles, on the evening of the 22d. At the appointed time five o’clock, Lhe guests began to arrive and kept coming till the rooms and grounds were filled with as joyful and mirthful a :rowd as ever assembled together. Between 125 or 150 friends and relatives were made to feel at home and enjoy the festivities of the occasion. Supper began at 8 o'clock and all present partook to their satisfaction of one of the very best of meals, ■uieh only can be given in the country. for which Mrs. Larimer will have the praise of every partaker. The Miami Cornet Band and Isler's String Band of Bunker Hill were in attendance anil discoursed some of t heir choice music during the evening, addiDg much to the enjoyment of the occasion. J. H. Larimer and lady were not only surprised at seeing so many friends, but also at receiving quite a number of beautiful and valuable presents,consist-ing of silver and glassware. A set of silver knives and forks and a set of silver spoons were given by Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Brown, Misses Sadie, Annie, and Lida Brown, Nellie Morriss, John Pu-terbaugh, Oscar Crisman, Samuel Brown, Will Brown, John Hostetler, J. A. Davey, and J. C. Clymer. A silver cup by Dr. H. V. Passage; a set of pearl handle knives and forks, Isaac Carpenter. Other presents were given by Misses Flora Passage and Pet Neff. A short and appropriate presentation speech wa9 made by Mrs. Mary Cole, of Kokomo, by the request of the Peruvians. The writer has failed to secure all the names of the donors and the presents presented by them, but they will, nevertheless be remembered by Mr. and Mrs. Larimer equally the same as if their names were made public. A majority of the guests were friends living in the vicinity of Miami and Bunker Hill.In addition to persons already named from a distance there were present Clara Bowers, of Kokomo, and J. W. Whitcomb of Clinton county. The festivities continued till a late hour and it was frequently remarked that no grander reception ever was given in that community. J. H. Larimer is a young man who has always resided in our county and has a host of friends wherever be goes. He has good business qualifications and is successful in law and bids fair to stand at the top of his profession, and is to be highly complimented in securing for a partner for life the beautiful and accomplished Miss Lillian Bliler, of Cass county.
