POPULAR SUPERIOR YOUNG FOLKS WEDSATURDAY NIGHTThe marriage of Miss Gladys Brunsvold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brunsvold of Superior, and Mr. Earl Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt of Spirit Lake, took place last Saturday evening at 6:30 in a pretty candle light service in the home of the bride’s parents.The double ring ceremony was read by Rev. L. A. Mathre of Esth-erville. As Miss Vivian Knutson, cousin of the bride, played Wagner's Lohengrin wedding march, the bridal party took their places before the large window in the living room which was banked with palms and baskets of cut flowers, in the midst of which were the candlebra candles.Misses Doris Brunsvold and De-lores Gruhlke sang “Oh Promise Me” before the ceremony.The bride wore a teal blue dress trimmed with burgandy. Her corsage was made up of. pink roses and white gladiolas.Miss Irene Brunsvold, who was her sister’s attendant, wore a medium brown’ dress, trimmed with green. Yellow roses . and Baby’s Breath made up her corsage.The bridegroom wore a dark blue suit. His attendant, Lloyd Sharp, of Spirit Lake, wore a suit of oxford 1 gray. Both Mr. Schmidt and his attendant wore buttonieres of white carnations.Following the ceremony a three-course dinner was served to 40 guests. A three-tier pink and white wedding cake and cut flowers decorated the tables.Mrs. Schmidt graduated from the' Superior township school in 1935. She has attended Iowa State college at Ames and State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. Last year she taught a rural school in Dickinson county., Mr. Schmidt* graduated from the j Superior township school in 19331 and is now a progressive farmer in the Superior community. •!Following their wedding trip the j young couple will be at home after next week in Superior township on the place where he is now farming, and has the home in readiness for the bride.The ifiany friends of Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt wish for them a long life of success and happiness.
