Meredith, Hopp wed Sept. 13Deborah Dee Meredith and David Brandt Hopp were united in marriage in a 7 p.m. ceremony Sept. 13 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenwood. The Rev. Laine Mathiason officiated.Parents of the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Meredith, 707 Townsend St., Evelyn Hopp of rural Glenwood and the late Ralph Hopp.The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a Bianchi gown featuring a scooped neckline, sheer sleeves and chapel-length train. ,Embroidered lace and pearls -adorned the bodice and cuffs; the- lace was repeated on the edge of the cathedral-Jength veil.The bridal bouquet was a lily of the valley surrounded by peach carnations.Serving as maid of honor was Nanci Farber, a friend of the bride from Bennington, Neb. Bridesmaids were Kathy Schoening, a friend of the bride from Glenwood, and Shelly Hopp, daughter of the groom from Glenwood. They wore floor-length gowns of peach-colored floral print.Serving his friend as best man was Dennis Crawford of Glenwood. Steve Roenfeldt and Paul Schoening, also friends of the groom from Glenwood, were groomsmen. Ushers were Don Meredith, Dean Meredith and Richard Meredith, brothers of the bride.Candlelighters were Shannon Hopp, daughter of the groom from Glenwood, and Marianne Clapper of Tabor. Rev. Mathiason and Russell Clark of Council Bluffs sang individual solos; Mr. Clark was the organist. Betty Schatz attended the guest book.A reception was held at the Glenwood American Legion Hall immediately following the ceremony. Hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pein and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Miller, all of Glenwood,Serving at the reception were Judy Meredith of Glenwood, Karen Meredith of Omaha and Joann Meredith of Omaha. Assisting were Betty Schoening, Irene Abbe, Lorraine Kruse and Margaret Lincoln. Michelle Flack was in charge of the gifts.The couple will reside in Glenwood.
