MarriagesLESTER-NIXMiss Dorothy Ann Nix, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Nix, Lake Ariel R. D. 2. was united in marriage to Arthur William Lester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron W. Lester, Honesdale Star Route, on Sept. 23, 1972 at 3 p. m. in Central United Methodist Church, Honesdale bythe Rev. Rexford K. Crounse.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a mod street length white chiffon peau de soie dress, having fully gathered wrist length sleeves and jeweled neckline. She wore a white lace mantilla. Her jewelry consisted of a pearl dropnecklace, pearl earrings from Grandmother Westman and also Grandmother Westman’s pin made from her husband and her weddings bands. The bride carried a white Bible having a white orchid marker with shower of ribbons.The maid of honor, Miss Shirley A. Lester, Honesdale Star Route, sister of the bridegroom, wore a mod street length dress fashioned from plum crepe. Her headdress was a chapel cap and matching ribbon streamers. She carried a nosegay of white and plum asters. David Lester of Honesdale, Star Route was his brother’s best man.was held at the home of the bridegroom’s wsa held at the home of the bridegroom'sparents.The bridegroom is stationed at Fort Dix, N. J. Mrs. Lester will reside at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Lester,Out of town guests were Robert Lester and Martha Miller, Mercer; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hardick III, Floyd IV and Jamie, Hamburg, N. J.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles McCurry, Hamburg, N, J.
