Miss Gay Lee Klompmaker Becomes BrideOf John Kraai in SeptemberThe Bethanv Christian Reformed church of South Holland was the scene of the wedding of Miss Gay Lee Klompmaker and John Kraai which took place on the afternoon of September 11The Rev. Marvin Doornbosheard the vows of the double ring ceremony before an altar beautifully decorated with candelabra and bouquets of ivory white roses.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Klompmaker of 16080 South Park avenue, South Holland. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kraai of 624 East 161st place, South HollandGIVEN IN marriage by herfather, the bride chose a floorlength gown of ivory peau de soie. The gown featured a fitted bodice, A-line skirt and a full chapel train. The half sleeves were lavishh embroi-dered with tiny seed pearls. Aheavily beaded ivory peau de soie dome-shaped headpieceheld her full length veil of ivory silk illusion and she car-ried one long-stemmed rose highlighted with seed pearls.Miss Joan Wognum was the maid of honor. Bridesmaidswere Darcy Klompmaker. sister of the bride, Mrs. MarvKlompmaker, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Linda En-Mrs. John KraaiMilligan and Cheryl Triemstracousins of the bride.Bridal attendants were at-right Pagettes were Jodi Vantired in full length gowns of olive green silk faille. Ivory-colored heirloom lace cape sleeves were a point of accent on the A-line dresses. Pagetteswere attired identically to thewsenior attendants in streetlength dresses. Dome-shaped headpieces of olive green faille and long ivory colored gloves completed their attire andthey carried three long -stemmed tropicanna roses.NuptialJACK BROUWERS was thebest man. Groomsmen were Ronald VanDerWerff, Jay Klompmaker, brother of the bride, and Douglas Okum. Ushers were Dave Biefield and Arthur Kraai.Nuptial music was providedby Andrew Vogel, organist, who accompanied Joy Van Milligan when she sang “0 Perfect Love,” ‘‘Whither Thou Goest” and “The Lord's Praver.”wThe bride’s parents held a reception for the young couple at six o’clock at Camp Mani-toqua dining hall, Frankfort, 111. Out-of-town guests were present from Colorado, Michigan and New York.For her place in the receiving line, the bride’s mother wore a gold silk dress with gold accessories. The senior Mrs. Kraai wore dark olivegreen dress of raw silk withmatching accessories. Eachcarried a purse with a baby orchid.After a wedding trip to Gat-linberg in the Smoky Mountains, the newlyweds are now at home at 107 North Elm street, Champaign, 111.The bride is a graduate of Thornridge high school and received her RN on September 9 from Presbyterian-St. Luke’s School of Nursing. Her husband is a graduate of Uliana Christian high school and is a senior at the University ofIllinois.
