St. Paul's United Church was the ‘scene of a wedding, September 15, at 6 p.m., when Mildred Jean, sec ond daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kensick, became the bride of John Robert Shearer, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Gray, Rev. S. R. Mc Leod officiated. Miss Norma Shearer was soloist and Mrs. Leighton played the wedding music, Mrs. J. Brown, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Hel#a Murrer was brides imaid. Eileen Kensick was flower girl. Best men were Harold Hoppe l and Charles Shearer, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Charles Camp and Jack Brown. The bride wore a gown of white ‘slipper satin. The V-shaped neck line formed a side pleated collar. The sleeves were lily-pointed. The full skirt falling in folds from the padded hipline, ended in a train. A coronet of seed pearls held the veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses with heather from Scotland. The reception was held at the Empire Chateau. Mr. and Mrs. Shearer left for Minneapolis. They will reside at 180 Maryland Street.
