nuritesMugg-ElkowMiss Barbara Lee Elkow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Elkow, 222 Kings court, LaGrange Park and Captain Steven Cranston Mugg, United States Air Force, son of Mrs. Cranston Mugg and the late Mr. Mugg, 239 Kings court, LaGrange Park, were married 6 p.m., August 23 in St. Louise De Mar iliac church, LaGrange, Park, by the Reverend Gerald Mulcahy. The prelude of organ music and the wedding marches were played and sung byBernard Arand.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white silk organza over bouquet taffeta. The bodice, the cap sleeves and the A line skirt were trimmed in French alencon lace re-embroidered in seed pearls, as was the hem of the cathedral length train. A matching bow of silk organza held her three tier elbow length veil of silk illusion. She carried a bouquet of white roses, stephanotis,, and baby’s breath and ivy.Miss Laura Elkow was her sister's maid of honor and the two bridesmaids were the twin sisters of the bridegroom, Mrs. Michael Freeland (Mary Mugg) of White Plains, New York and Mrs. Stephen A. Smith (Marsha Mugg) of Champhign. Their dresses were scoop neck, puffed sleeve A line gowns of pale pink window pane plaid silk organza with a.white lace and velvet trim around the empire line. In their hair they wore matching Dior bows and they carried colonial bouquets of pink painted daisies and baby breath.Stephen A. Smith, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man and Michael Freeland, br6ther-in-law of the bridegroom and Steven Elkow, brother of the bride, were the* groomsmen. The two ushers were Michael Lino and Dennis Perk.The ceremony was followed by a dinner reception at the Old Spinning Wheel in Hinsdale and later an open house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Elkow.Mrs. Elkow, mother of the bride, wore a-dress and matching coat of pa-le pink worsted and silk trimmed in pink beading. Metzger who were married at 2 p.m., August 9, in the Western Springs Baptist church.The bride is the former Miss Lois J. Umfrid, G900 I^aGrange road, LaGrange, and the bridegroom is the son of Charles Metzger, and the late Mrs. Metzger of Vnnapolis. Maryland. Their wedding vows were heard by the Reverend Arthur Brown following songs by Mrs. C. A. Meyers, with Mrs. M. A. St. Germain at the organ.The bride wore a gown of white linen with chapel train. Lace formed a front panel of the skirt, and trimmed the collar and long sleeves. She wore small pearl earrings, a full short veil, and carried a cascade of daisies and white roses.Miss Linda Tenjack was maid of honor in a gown of yellow styled like the bride’s and Mrs. P. A. He received a master’s degree in engineering from Texas A M and returned in July from serving a tour of duty with the United States Air Force at the Royal Thai Air Force Base of Nak-hon Phanom, Thailand. He is now’'assigned to the Materiels Air Command Base at .‘Vitus, Oklahoma. • cAfter a honeymoon at Tan-Tar-A in the Ozarks the young couple will be at home at 1400 North Thomas street, apartment 26, Altus, Oklahoma,On the night before the wedding the bridegroom’s mother entertained at the rehearsal dinner at Stouffers Oak Brook Inn. The day of the wedding Mrs. Stephen A. Smith and Mrs. Michael Freeland gave a bridesmaids’ luncheon, at Plentywood Farm.Special guests at the wedding were the grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Theo Hrynyshyn and Mrs. Joseph Elkow. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Miller, the aunt of the bridegroom, Mrs. Alan Miller, all of Lath-rup Village, Michigan. Larry Long, Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Ned Tyler, Springfield, fraternity brothers of the bridegroom were also guests at the wedding.. pre-wedding showers for the bride were given by her aunts, Mrs. Michael Elkow, LaGrange Park, and Mrs. Richard Hlinka, LaGrange and by the aunt of the bridegroom, Miss Lorraine Skelton, La Grange Park.
