Horton - InshawThe marriage of Lois Ellen Diana Inshaw of Nipigon, daughter of the Reverend Reginald J. S. Inshaw and Mrs. Inshaw of Nipigon to Kenneth George Horton of MacDiarmid, son of Mrs. Kenneth A. Horton and the late Mr. Horton of Milton, was solemnized in Grace Anglican Church in Milton on August 17, 1968, at 12 noon. The bride’s father, the Reverend R. J. S. Inshaw officiated, assisted by The Reverend Canon F. H. Mason of Milton. The memorial flowers on the altar and in the sanctuary were deep red gladioli and white mums.Mrs. J. Ledwith was organist and John Penson was server. Ushers were William Dodge of Toronto and Bruce Allan of Milton, brother-in-law of the groom. Terence Heffernan of Milton was best man.The bride, given in marriage by her older brother, John A. C. Inshaw of Toronto, chose a gown of white rayon peau de soie, with scoop neckline, fitted bodice and long lily-pointed sleeves. A detachable train fell from the waistline accented with bows at front and back. Her bouffant shoulder length veil had scalloped edging and was held by a flat bow. She carried a cascade of deep red roses and white carnations.Bridal attendants, Mrs. JohnInshaw of Toronto, sister-in-law of the bride, as matron of honor, Mrs. Bruce Allan of Milton, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid, and Miss Angela Cox of Toronto, cousin of the bride as flower-girl, wore identically designed gowns of brocaded satin-Mrs. Inshaw’s was pale peach and the other two attendants in pale apple green.They carried nosegays of white baby mums and peach-colored roses with green ribbon streamers.A buffet iuncheon was held in the parish hall, where the bride’s mother received in an ensemble of pink lace coat over crepe sheath dress, white accessories and a corsage of pink sweetheart roses and white carnations. The groom’s motfrer chose a silk sheath with matching chiffon coat, turquoise accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. The groom’s grandmother, Mrs. A. Robson of Vancouver, chose a coat and dress ensemble of beige shantung and a corsage of pink carnations.At the reception the master of ceremonies was Philip Inshaw of Nipigon, brother of the bride, and W. H. Mould of Toronto, uncle of the bride, proposed the toast to the bride.The round, three-tier wedding cake was made by the bride’s mother and decorated by her father with white roses and silver leaves, topped by a small crystal vase containing red sweetheart roses to match the bride’s bouquet.Leaving for their honeymoon, Mrs. Horton chose a lime green sheath with black accessories and a corsage of cream-coloured sweetheart roses.Among the out-of-town guests were Mrs. Arthur Dyson, Barbara and Anthony of Southborne, Bournemouth, England, cousins of the bride.The groom is employed by the Department of Lands and Forests and the bride is a recent graduate of Ottawa University.Mr. and Mrs. Horton will reside in Nipigon.MARRIED IN MILTON on August 17 were the formerDiana Inshaw of Nipigon and George Horton.
