S. meets Thursday afternoon.TEIG-EDWARDSOn Thursday, September 11, 1947, Miss Ruth Teig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O, J. Teig of Buffalo Center, and Mr. Robert Edward^, son of Mrs. Bert Edwards' of Buffalo Center, were united in marriage at 8:00 p. m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Buffalo Center. The Rev. R. L. Holleque read the double ring service before the altar adorned with flowers. The illumination from floor candelabra and lighted tapers formed the setting.Miss Norma Mikkelson of Albert Lea, Minnesota, played a prelude of music. The Bridal Chorus” by Lohengrin was used as the processional and Mendelsohn's Wedding March” as the recessional. During the ceremony Miss Norma Mikkelson accompanied by Miss Juanita IWessels sang The Lord's Prayer” and O Perfect Love.”The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with long fitted sleeves and a tight bodice. The full skirt fell into a long train. Her finger tip veil fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a white Bible with yellow roses. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom.Miss Florence Renberg of Clear Lake, Iowa, a close friend of the bride, was the bride’s only attendant. She wore a yellow satin gown and carried a bouquet of yellow gladioli and white dahlias.Mr. Merle Edwards, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The •men wore dark suits. Mr' Wayne Teig, brother of the bride, and Mr. Allen Edwards, brother of the bridegroom, acted as ushers. /The reception followed the ceremony in the church parlors. Fifty-five guests were in attendance. The dining room was decorated in yellow and white, the bride’s chosen colors. The waitresses were Mrs. Pat Rose, Mrs. Arthur Mitchell, Miss Betty Steffensen and Miss Juanita Wessels.Mrs. J. D. Engels sang Just For Today” and Miss Mikkelson sang Blest Be v The Tie That Binds” during the reception.The young couple left for a short noneymoon to Yellowstone National Park. For travel the bride wore a*black suit with matching accessories. ■ The bride is a graduate of the Blue Earth, Minnesota High School and for the past three years has been employed as bookkeeper at the Jensvold Implement Company.The bridegroom graduated from the Buffalo Center^ High School, attended college at the Iowa. State College at Ames, and served four years in the Armed Forces.Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edwards received three telegrams during the reception from the bride’s two sisters and one brother who were unable to attend the wedding, namely: Mr. and Mrs. Dean Talley of Butte, Montana, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Haus-kins of Portland, Oregon and Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Teig^of West New York, New Jersey.Mr. and Mrs. Edwards will make their home in Buffalo Center.OELKE-JUTTINGThe Rev. Elmer M. Bauer was the • officiating clergyman on Sept. 12, when Charlotte A. Oelke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Oelke of Blue Earth, Minnesota, became the bride of Ub,be Jutting, son of Mrs. Harm Jutting of Buffalo Center, Iowa. The exchange of vows took place at the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren church in Blue Earth at eight 0‘clock in the evening. The single riqg ceremony was used.Music was furnished by Mrs. E. M. Bauer who used the traditional • wedding music. She. also accom-; panied Carlton Bauer, the soloist.Attending the bride as bridesmaidwas Betty Ankeny who wore a two piece dress of rose and white with a shoulder corsage*The bride chose for her wedding a white wool jersey dress with which she had a corsage of red roses and white chrysanthemums..
